Summary

A simple vacuum cleaner model is built using a plastic bottle, a motor, and basic craft materials. A propeller powered by a motor creates suction that pulls in small debris, showing how air pressure and airflow work in real vacuum cleaners.

Procedure

  1. Cut a 700 mL plastic bottle into two parts as shown in the guide.
  2. In the bottom section, make a side hole and several holes at the base.
  3. Cut a cardboard disc to fit tightly inside the bottle bottom. In the center, cut a square opening to mount the gearless motor.
  4. Cut three triangular openings in the disc for airflow.
  5. Attach a propeller to the motor shaft, then secure the motor into the square opening of the cardboard disc.
  6. Insert this motor-propeller setup into the bottle bottom section.
  7. Connect the motor to a power source (such as a power bank) using a motor control element.
  8. Cover the open end of the bottle with a piece of open-weave bandage to act as a filter net.
  9. Reattach the top section of the bottle over the setup.
  10. Secure the power bank to the outside of the bottle with double-sided tape.
  11. Turn on the circuit and test by placing the bottle’s opening near small pieces of paper. The suction should collect the debris.
